1. Who we are
HabitCal (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a print-first habit tracker that helps you build calendars, print them, and check off habits with a pen. Our service is available at habitcal.app.
Questions? Email us at hello@habitcal.app.
2. What we collect
- Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and any name you choose to provide.
- Calendar & habit data: The habits and calendars you create are stored so you can access and print them across sessions.
- Usage data: We collect anonymized analytics (page views, feature usage) to understand how HabitCal is used and improve the product. This data does not identify you personally.
- Newsletter subscription: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address to send you weekly habit tips. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Payment information: If you upgrade to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
3. How we use your data
- Provide and maintain the HabitCal service
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure
- Send you the newsletter you signed up for
- Improve our product based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate HabitCal:
- Supabase: Handles authentication and stores your account and calendar data securely.
- Google Analytics: Provides anonymized usage analytics to help us understand how the product is used.
- Stripe: Handles billing for paid plans. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe processes and stores payment information under their own privacy policy.
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy that governs their handling of data.
5. Cookies
HabitCal uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session and to support analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features (like staying logged in) may not work correctly without them.
6. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link in every email)
- Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a common format
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@habitcal.app.
8. Children's privacy
HabitCal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of HabitCal after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
